Born in Seattle, Washington, Don grew up in McAllen, Texas. He received a B.A. with special honors in Plan II (the honors liberal arts program), and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed internship at the Fort Miley Veteran’s Administration Hospital, San Francisco, California. He is a licensed psychologist and health service provider with over thirty-five years of experience working for an agency, in private practice and as a consultant. Don demonstrates enormous respect for his clients. He has an eclectic clinical style and has been heavily influenced by Systems Centered Therapy in the last few years. He is a grandfather of five and a long-time student of Gurdjieff.
As most people are looking to make changes in their relationships with others, the relationship that develops between me and my clients can be a fertile microcosm to explore.
