About Dr. Marler
Born in Seattle, Washington, Don grew up in McAllen, Texas. He received a B.A. with special honors in Plan II (the honors liberal arts program) and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed internship at the Fort Miley Veteran’s Administration Hospital, San Francisco, California. He is a licensed psychologist and health service provider with over thirty-five years of experience working for agencies, in private practice and as a consultant. Don demonstrates enormous respect for his clients. He has a son who is a civil engineer, water supply and waste water management expert, and a step-daughter who is an ear, nose and throat physician and surgeon. He has five grandchildren here in Austin and he is a long-time student of Gurdjieff.
