Psychotherapy should provide a safe space to solve problems and heal wounds. It can be a place of hope and new beginnings. Within a trusting, collaborative relationship with the therapist it can provide structure for you to build your personal resources and to discover solutions. It can also be a place to continue your personal growth and learn more about yourself.
I am skilled at helping my clients to determine clear goals, but I am flexible in providing space for more open exploration when that is desired. My style is compassionate, client-centered and interactive. My practice is informed by systemic, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness understandings. I consider you the expert on your life and myself an expert consultant whose job is to help you explore meanings and find answers. I will work with you to examine which behaviors and beliefs are useful to your life and which are not.
